On behalf of the Grimsrud PTO we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you! Your Grimsrud PTO's purpose is "to serve as a forum for families, teachers and administrators; encouraging communications and promoting the best education possible for our children."
Thank you for your past support of the PTO fundraising activities. The Grimsrud PTO continues to assist in the purchase of classroom and library materials by providing the teacher allotments, technology such as ActivBoards in the classrooms, as well as playground and other school equipment. Some of the activities sponsored by PTO funds include: Teacher Appreciation, Muffins in the Morning, Family Fun Day and the Grimsrud Yearbook.
As you browse through the website you may find an activity of special interest. Please feel free to contact a board member or a PTO representative for more information. We welcome your help and input. With continued support and involvement, Grimsrud PTO will strive to make another school year memorable for your children and you!

"Remembering Matthew"
After a courageous five-year battle with Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, Matthew Watson, 8, passed away July 15, 2009. He attended First Steps Learning Center and had just finished second grade here at Grimsrud, where he had many classmates, friends and staff that meant so much to him.
His third grade classmates celebrated his 9th birthday on August 28, 2009 by planting a new "Autumn Blaze Maple" tree on the SW corner of the front lawn. The PTO will also be adding a "Memory Plaque" in front of the tree in his honor.
Please help us remember how Matthew touched and warmed our lives by watching his tree grow!
